One of my favorite parts of my job as a Seattle Tacoma photographer is helping families welcome their new little ones into the world. The family studio newborn session I’m featuring today was no exception. This beautiful family journeyed down from Redmond, accompanied by their visiting grandma, to document the fleeting newborn phase of their little bundle of joy. 

Including loved ones is a great way to make your newborn session even more special. Whether it’s a sibling, parents, or grandparents, everyone is always so excited that their new little one is here. I love the joy that is captured each time a family member joins the baby for a photo. 

I also think about how this baby will likely look back on these pictures when they are grown. Imagine the love you must feel to see the way your family was so filled with excitement and awe when you were born! I am sure that these tiny moments now will be so very cherished in the future. It was so clear that this little guy is surrounded by so much love!

We can’t forget about capturing all the tiny details of the little man! Babies change so quickly, and that makes these pictures an extra special reminder of those first few weeks of life. We kept him nice and cozy in blue, green, and tan swaddles. During each newborn session, I’m always sure to get some close-ups of their tiny features. Their tiny toes, itty bitty fingers, sweet lips, and little nose are all things each family will want to look back on. His tiny toes peeking out of the swaddle are especially cute!
