I absolutely loved this sweet family’s boutique maternity session at the picturesque Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington. Nestled amidst the vibrant communities of Woodinville, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, and Lake Sammamish, this location provided the PERFECT backdrop for capturing the beauty of motherhood. 

During this session, I brought my son along as an assistant for the first time. This meant the soon-to-be parents could focus on being together and delighting in the joy and anticipation of their growing family. I love that maternity photography celebrates not only the physical changes, but also the deep bonds and excitement surrounding the arrival of a new baby. A maternity session isn’t just about showing off that baby bump (although that’s certainly part of it!). They are also about celebrating the love between parents and children, capturing a family as they wait for their new arrival. 

Their session was scheduled during the fall. This is always such a stunning time to take photos with the autumn colors and warm sunlight. All of their photos turned out beautifully, and we could not have asked for a better spot to take them! 

We captured it all during this session. From playful moments with Dad and the boys to romantic moments in nature, each picture tells a story of our time together. More than that, it documents their family as they are now. 

I love when maternity sessions are also a celebration of family. Photography helps us to capture memories of specific times in our lives, and awaiting a new family member is certainly worth documenting! It was so clear during this boutique maternity session that their family is already filled with so much love. Their baby is so lucky to be born into this family!
