As a Seattle and Tacoma area family photographer, I get to explore our local puget sound beaches with lots of families. Currently a resident of Brown’s Point, Tacoma and with a photography studio in Sodo, Seattle; I have LOTS of beach spots that have become my favorite go-to’s. But, growing up in Washington state there was something special about being able to go the ocean. The sand was soft, and the waves were big. The air was salty and local towns were adorned with cedar shakes. 

Over the years, I had been asked if I would travel to photograph at the ocean. I loved the idea, as we had spent summers traveling and camping the Washington coast. I just wasn’t sure the logistics of getting my Seattle families out to the ocean, and finding an appropriate location seemed like a task. Until we arrived at Seabrook. 

The town for those who haven’t had the pleasure of visiting, is a bit picturesque itself. Adorable shops and sweet cottages dressed with quant coastal decor. This was it! I had found my little coastal photography session hostess!

Little did I know, the town was only one little slice of the big picture and my experience at the beach for this family’s beach photo session was going to be nothing short of amazing!

The light was gorgeous, and the sand was as soft as I remember it was as a child. We had styled this family’s photography session with gorgeous soft muted tones, and some outfits from the studio wardrobe. The sky was the perfect accent to their color pallet and it made for some gorgeous portraits…

The typical shenanigans went down, as well played and laughed. The kids ran through the breeze and we documented some amazing moments for this beautiful family.
